DuWayne W. HermanDuWayne W. Herman
DuWayne Herman is a graduate of Purdue University majoring in business/economics and Indiana University Law School - Bloomington. He has maintained a private practice for over 30 years and specializes in the areas of real estate, corporate, probate and estate planning, and municipal law. He served as attorney for the City of Decatur for 20 years and represented the City in all facets including litigation, bond issues, drafting ordinances, zoning and construction law. He is a member of the Indiana and Adams County bar associations. DuWayne and his wife, Bonnie, have served on various boards at their church and community civic organizations and are the proud parents of three children Katie, Jessica and Nathan.

 


Adam Miller
Adam Miller
Adam Miller is a 1985 graduate of the University of St. Francis, majoring in Business and a 1988 graduate of Ohio Northern University Law School. A lifelong resident of Adams County, Adam graduated from Adams Central School. He has been a lawyer with Burry, Herman, Miller & Brown for more than 20 years. He currently represents the Adams Memorial Hospital, Adams Central Community Schools, the Adams County Township Trustees, the Adams County Health Department and the Adams County Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals. Adam served as the Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Adams County from 1994 to 1998. Areas of practice include Municipal Law; School Law; Health Care; Estate Planning; Probate and Real Estate. He is a member of the Adams County Bar Association.

Adam has served on the Board of Directors of the Adams County Community Foundation; and is a past member of the Decatur Optimist Club (President); the Decatur Rotary Club; his Parish Council; and has served as an instructor for Junior Achievement. He is currently serving on the Board of the Adams County United Way. He and his wife, Susan, are the parents of two children, Bryan (1989-2006) and Krista.

 

BurryMark Burry
Mark Burry is 1989 graduate of Purdue University at West Lafayette where he received a Bachelors degree in management. He earned his law degree at Ohio Northern University in 1993 with distinction and was admitted to the Indiana Bar and joined the firm the same year. His practice is focused in the areas of business law, real estate, wills and estates, personal injury and representation of governmental and public boards.

Mark has represented Adams County since 1997 as County Attorney and also represents the City of Bernes Storm Water Utility Board and the School Employees Benefit Trust. He is graduate of Adams Central and is a member of the Bridge Community Church. He and his wife Carrie are active with and share many interests with their two daughters, Brianna and Reagan and son, Lucas.



Jeremy W. BrownJeremy W. Brown
Jeremy Brown has been admitted to the bar since November 4, 1996. He has been with the firm since February of 2005. Mr. Brown practices primarily in the areas of business formation and transactions, estate planning/administration, criminal defense, family law and personal injury. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brown served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana from 2003 to 2005. During his time as a federal prosecutor, Mr. Brown represented the United States of America in various criminal prosecutions in the United States District Court in Fort Wayne, Indiana. His experience included representing the United States before the United States Court of Appeals, 7th Circuit.
Mr. Brown served as the Chief Deputy Prosecutor in Adams County, Indiana from 1998 to 2003. He was in private practice from 1996 to 1998 practicing primarily in the area of criminal defense. Mr. Brown obtained his B. A. degree in 1993 from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana where he graduated with honors. He earned his law degree in 1996 from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana where he graduated cum Laude. Mr. Brown's community service includes Cub Scout Pack 3070 and various church boards and committees. He and his wife, Julie-Marie, have two sons.
